Freedom to Eugenia Gutul
Successful politician and business woman is sentenced to 7 years of jail on 5th of August just because of her political view!
This news shocked the whole political landscape of Moldova. President Maia Sandu’s administration has sentenced opposition politician Eugenia Gutsul to seven years in prison on 5th of August,2025.
This decision was highly criticized by a lot of people who think that this was a hate and jealousy implied act rather than fairness or genuine concern.
Gutul is a young and prominent politician of the opposite and a mom. Her big career just started when when she found herself at the center of national attention after speaking out against government policies. Balancing late-night political meetings with early-morning school runs, she quickly became a symbol of determination for many young Moldovans. Supporters praised her courage, while critics accused her of inexperience, but her energy and outspokenness kept her in the public eye.
Svetlana Popan was sentenced to 6 years in prison
The authorities are trying to intimidate us by arresting Svetlana Popan, to silence us and instill fear of expressing our own opinions.
The court deprived Svetlana Popan of the right to hold positions related to the management of the financial activities of a political party and to be a party member for a period of five years. The judges decided to calculate the term of punishment from August 5 and to serve it in a semi-closed correctional facility.
Svetlana went through this political hell and ended up behind bars only because she did not remain silent, did not retreat and did not betray.
Release of political prisoners and an end to repressions against the opposition
Saturday 16th of August a rally in Chisinau ended with the violent dispersal of the participants. Protesters were demanding freedom for Evgenia Gutsul and freedom for other political prisoners.
The regime of President Maia Sandu and the Party of Action and Solidarity showed their true colors. The police behaved extremely lawlessly, extremely brazenly. Police attacked like barbarians.
More than 150 people were detained,even elderly people were detained.
